Ancient Music Festival of Granada: ‘The Age of Discovery’

from 19/05/2018
to 21/05/2018

The Three Cultures Foundation collaborates for the third time in the Ancient Music Festival of Granada. It is a multidisciplinary cultural event that this edition will have the Age of Discovert as its theme.

The Festival of Ancient Music brings together the artistic and musical heritage of Granada, recovering the legacy that, for so many centuries, was born there. For ten days, consolidated and new groups share their music, as well as conferences, meetings, workshops and exhibitions on various subjects related to Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music.

This year under the theme of The Age of Discovery, this festival will show us this new interconnected, global, cosmopolitan, integrating world through music. It will show us an era that will forge the foundations for the modern world.

The program proposed by the Three Cultures Foundation includes a concert by the Ensemble Andalusí from Tetuán and the conference `Andalusí music and its modalities’, by the teacher and musicologist Amin Chachoo.

Concert by Ensemble Andalusí from Tetuán.Saturday , May 19th, 8:30 p.m.

Conference `The Andalusí Music and its modalities’. Monday, May 21st.
