Book Club members will have the chance to watch the documentary ‘Maldita Calle’ (Damned Street, Spain, 2003, 30 min.) in a private screening thanks to the collaboration of its director, Juan José Ponce. After the screening, we will discuss ‘For bread alone’ at the Three Cultures library.

‘Maldita Calle’ takes us on a tour around Tetouan and Tangier through the testimonies of children who are forced to live in the streets. Their misfortunes and dreams will unveil the entrails of a whole society which reminds us of Chukri’s childhood.
