Photographer and graphic designer Sara Meli Melo on an artistic residency in Seville
Portuguese photographer and graphic designer Sara Monteiro Pais de Melo, known as Sara Meli Melo, is spending the month of March on one of the artistic residencies offered by the Fundación Tres Culturas (Three Cultures Foundation) within the framework of the CARPET project.
Sara Meli Melo is a design and audio-visual communication graduate with a postgraduate degree in image and communication and is currently studying photography at CEARTE in Coimbra.
Her passion for photography leads her to be highly active in photographing everything that catches her eye to challenge herself, adapt and continue to learn. During her artistic residency in Seville she is focusing on sharing her knowledge on photography compositions through workshops which also promote creativity using common modern-day tools such as the smartphone.
Similarly, and also as part of her personal project, she has taken on responsibility for photographing the artistic residency, the other participants’ creative processes and their projects and results. Eventually an Instagram page will be created to display all the documentary material gathered.
