Virtual colloquium ‘The social impact of COVID-19 in Israel’
The Three Cultures Foundation, in co-organization with Centro Sefarad-Israel, arranges a new virtual session that will discuss how the global pandemic is affecting another country in the Middle East, in this case Israel.
The appearance of COVID-19 in Israel has coincided with a complicated moment not only at the level of regional dynamics, but also internally, where the country had more pressing issues: the (almost endemic) difficulties in forming a government -the deal was finally closed a month ago between Netanyahu and Gantz- and the former legal problems.
On the other hand, as a technological power, Israel could be an important element in developing an effective treatment or even a vaccine, a task in which some biotech entities are already immersed, with certain hopes of success.
To analyze these and other topics we will count on the presence of the Israeli ambassador to Spain, Rodica Radian-Gordon, who will talk with Miguel de Lucas, director general of the Centro Sefarad-Israel.
