The company Arte em Casa produces the famous Arraiolos rugs, the production of which was initiated by the Muslims, who probably used woollen yarns. Later, with the passing of the centuries and the increase in tourism, the export of Arraiolos rugs began. Innovative designs and formats are the keys to the survival of this art form.
