Carmen was born in Seville, Spain, and studied regional folkloric dances with Carmen Cano and flamenco with Jose Jurado, Juan Morilla, Manolo Marín, Carlos Robles, José Galván and La Toná in Seville.
Flamenco has always been a part of her life; it was a game for her as a child and served as therapy when she emigrated as a young girl. Singing and dancing is a necessity for the wellbeing of human beings and as an Andalusian, flamenco was what she used to express her emotions. She loves to use flamenco to produce her own theatrical shows and to convey a message or two with them.
She currently gives flamenco lessons in her studio located in Seville.
