She will be accompanied by the journalist from <em>La Raz\u00f3n<\/em> Marta Maldonado.<\/p>\n<p>The Moroccan-born writer, who lives in France, has raised issues such as feminism and the role of women in today's world in her works, whether it be by addressing the subject of female sexuality in her first novel,\u00a0<em>In the ogre's garden<\/em>questioning the family and social structures in\u00a0<em>Sweet song<\/em>which won her the Goncourt Prize in 2016, or by analysing the taboos and inequalities between men and women in\u00a0<em>Sex and lies. Sex life in Morocco<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In his latest novel, <em>The country of the others<\/em>Slimani begins a trilogy inspired by the history of her family, from the Morocco of the 1950s to the present day, in which the author explores colonialism, the sense of belonging to a place and the uprooting, strangeness and fascination with 'the others'.<\/p>\n<p>Book sale and book signing after the
