The Three Cultures Foundation will host the exhibition Marrakech Walkscapes which gathers the works of students of Image, Performance and Audiovisual Projects from Pablo Neruda (Huelva) and Néstor Almendros (Tomares, Sevilla) secondary schools. The inauguration will take place on Thursday March 5th at 8pm

The idea behind Marrakech Walkscapes started with a trip to Marrakech and the Ourika Valley made by the students from the above mentioned schools. The project had as its base the work of contemporary artists whose creations were inspired by the concept of ‘drifting’. The aim was to translate the experience of travelling by a group of boys and girls to a city unknown to them into video and photographic works, with the notion of walking and drifting at the centre of their creations.

The resulting work constitutes a poetic cartography of the visited city and its surroundings, a reflection on the places, spaces and life shaping them.

Through this collaboration, The Three Cultures Foundation supports and promotes the creative work of these Image students, in an exhibition which will be open to the public until the 26th of March.
