INTREPIDA meeting in the classroom with Marta de Pablos

Details

  • Date: 21 April 2022

We continue with the INTREPIDA appointments in the classrooms, this time with the contemporary ceramist and entrepreneur Marta de Pablos, who will hold a relaxed meeting with the students of the School of Art of Seville, specifically in the centre located in the Nervión district.

This meeting in the form of a dialogue will provide a better understanding of this artist's career since she left the Huelva School of Art. Her work as a ceramist includes installations, landscape interventions, group and solo exhibitions, as well as her links with Morocco through workshops and grants, such as the one awarded by the Fundación Tres Culturas as part of the CARPET project of the Creative Europe programme.

About Marta de Pablos (Seville, 1975)

Lives and works in Matalascañas, Huelva. An insatiable and multidisciplinary creator, Marta de Pablos works experimentally in a continuous learning process, resorting to different means of expression such as sculpture, installation, sound, urban works and recycled art. She uses different materials and techniques in her creations to reach the most conceptual aspects of contemporary ceramics.

He began his artistic studies at the León Ortega art school in Huelva, where he graduated in the speciality of artistic ceramics. In 1998 she moved to Bristol, England, where she obtained a degree in Fine Art at the University of the West of England (UNE). Once she finished her training, she began her professional career as a contemporary artist, developing work with groups of artists of different nationalities and cultures, which prompted her to return to her native Spain in 2004 with the proposal to create a space dedicated to the production of art of different creative branches, offering workshops, seminars, exhibitions and meetings of artists. Inaugurated in 2010, Conexionarte Center is the space where he currently develops his artistic activity.

The Fundación Tres Culturas del Mediterráneo is the Main Beneficiary of the INTREPIDA plus project, together with the following partners from Spain and Portugal: Mancomunidad Condado de Huelva, Diputación de Huelva, Asociación de Empresarios de la Región de Portalegre (NERPOR), Núcleo Empresarial de la Región de Évora (NERE) and Municipality of Faro. The INTREPIDA plus project has European funding from the INTERREG V A Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) programme and from the Andalusian Regional Government.
