The Fundación Tres Culturas is collaborating in this summer course, organised by Makom Sefarad in Seville from 15 to 17 July.
The aim of this course is to provide an insight into the Sephardic Jewish tradition developed during the Middle Ages in the Iberian Peninsula, analysing the contribution of other traditions to the Judeo-Spanish tradition and vice versa.
This is a unique opportunity to discover how the encounter and dialogue of different cultures has enriched Sephardic culture and, in turn, enriched its Christian and Muslim neighbours in the Mediterranean basin.
A wonderful opportunity to study and debate with participants from other countries and of course to learn from academics from institutions such as the University of Seville, Tel-Aviv University and Leo Baeck College in London.
Requirements: No previous knowledge of the subject is required but an intermediate level of English is required as the lectures, workshops and visits will be in English.
Registration fee: 90 euros (45 for Seville residents and students)
Grants: It is possible to receive a grant for all or part of the registration fee. To do so, please send an email to info@makomsefarad.org indicating the reasons for the request.
Certificates: Makom Sefarad will issue a certificate to all those who participate in the programme.
