4th AN-MAR Andalusia Morocco Forum

to 29/01/2020
The 4th AN-MAR Andalusia Morocco Forum is a meeting place for mayors, elected officials and political and technical representatives of the municipalities, regional boards and governments of Morocco and Andalusia with a main aim of examining the opportunities linked to the cross-border space between Andalusia and Morocco and, therefore, between Europe and Africa. Thus, as well as being a place for reflection on cooperation between the Andalusian and Moroccan local governments, it takes a look at a triangular and south-south cooperation.
This Forum is organised by the AN-MAR Federation of local groups of Andalusia and Northern Morocco and the Andalusian Pool of Municipalities for International Solidarity (FAMSI), in collaboration with the Fundación Tres Culturas (Three Cultures Foundation) and in alliance with various international entities such as the General Direction of Local Collectives (DGCL) of Morocco, United Local Cities and Governments – African Regional Section (CGLU-A) and Platforma.
In its fourth edition, it also includes European municipal networks, representatives of the European Commission, other members of Spanish cooperation and African municipal networks, with an aim to underline the role of local governments in EU-Moroccan cooperation, the potential of triangular cooperation (EU-Africa) and Andalusia’s role as a bridge of decentralised cooperation.
This initiative has the support and participation of the Junta de Andalucía (Andalusian regional government), Seville city hall and Seville county council as well as that of other partner entities such as the county councils of Huelva, Jaen and Cádiz.
