Modern Arabic
Course 2024/2025
From October 2024 to June 2025 (OPEN ENROLMENT PERIOD)
Features
Enrolment period open: from 24 June to 30 September 2024
Arabic language classes have been one of the hallmarks of the Fundación Tres Culturas since its inception in 2005. Knowledge of the language represents, beyond any practical purpose, the most effective way to get closer to a culture.
In this new 2024/2025 edition, we are launching a new format with academic courses from October to June, offering a training itinerary of four courses of nine months each.
There will therefore be three levels, which we will call respectively: Arabic 1, Arabic 2, and Arabic 4.
The Arabic that we teach is the modern standard Arabic or fusha, which is the official language of all the countries that currently make up the Arab world, as well as of the United Nations, and its study is the vehicle for communication between speakers of different dialects.
The courses are aimed at anyone interested in the Arab world, whether for personal reasons, work-related circumstances or who is pursuing university studies related to international relations, culture or other specialisations linked to the Arab world.
Common European Framework of Reference
Given the characteristics of the Arabic language itself, which is not Indo-European but Semitic, the equivalence of these levels with those of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is only approximate, and is distributed as follows:
- ARABIC 1: CEFRE Level A1
- ARABIC 2: Transition from CEFRE level A1 to A2
- ARABIC 3: Consolidation of CEFRE level A2
- ARABIC 4: CEFR Level B1
