Communicating the Mediterranean"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The media's view of the Mediterranean will be the starting point for the professionals who, from 1 to 3 June, will meet at the headquarters of the Rectorate of the University of Malaga, organised by the Fundaci\u00f3n Tres Culturas in the Forum 'TRES Med. Communicating the Mediterranean'. The event, organised with the sponsorship of the Ministry of Moroccans Living Abroad and Migration Affairs through the programme 'Alqantara: bridges for dialogue and coexistence', aims to analyse the important role played by the media, both in terms of their way of transmitting everything that happens in the Mediterranean and the very status they have acquired, not only as a mere intermediary, but as an active protagonist.<\/p>\n<p>Issues such as the refugee crisis, the intensification of migratory flows, the causes and effects of the economic crisis, armed conflicts, terrorism, the threat of phenomena such as radicalism and fundamentalism on the one hand, and racism and xenophobia on the other, the growing inequalities between different areas of the Mediterranean and within each of the Mediterranean societies capitalise the front pages of the written and digital press, the opening news of news programmes on radio and television, specialised talk shows and articles by the most reputable bloggers.<\/p>\n<p>The forum has the collaboration of Malaga City Council, the University of Malaga, the Contemporary Art Centre of Malaga, the Anna Lindh Foundation, the Port of Malaga, the Malaga Press Association, the Andalusian College of Journalists in Malaga and the Andalusian Public Company of Tourism.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La mirada de los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n al Mediterr\u00e1neo ser\u00e1 el punto de partida para los profesionales que del 1 al 3 de junio se dar\u00e1n cita en la sede [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":21616,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[33],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-20377","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-otros"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>TRES Med.
