the director of the <strong data-start=\"421\" data-end=\"465\">Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation<\/strong> signed an agreement with <strong data-start=\"487\" data-end=\"514\">Jos\u00e9 Luis Garc\u00eda Mart\u00edn<\/strong>Eighth Deputy Mayor for the Government Area of Neighbourhoods of Preferential Attention, Social Rights, Employment, Family, Equality and Associations of the <strong data-start=\"653\" data-end=\"680\">Seville City Council<\/strong>to further advance the programme <em data-start=\"720\" data-end=\"751\">Seville, Land of Diversity<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"756\" data-end=\"1105\">This programme, developed by the Fundaci\u00f3n Tres Culturas with the backing and funding of the Seville City Council, aims to promote the <strong data-start=\"907\" data-end=\"936\">intercultural coexistence<\/strong> in the city, especially in neighbourhoods such as <strong data-start=\"981\" data-end=\"996\">The Macarena<\/strong>The European Union is an example of diversity and mutual respect between people of different backgrounds, traditions and religions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1107\" data-end=\"1377\">Through art, education, music and sport, <em data-start=\"1164\" data-end=\"1195\">Seville, Land of Diversity<\/em> seeks to generate <strong data-start=\"1210\" data-end=\"1249\">meeting and learning spaces<\/strong> promoting awareness of the positive value of cultural diversity, with special attention to children and young people.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1379\" data-end=\"1447\">Among the most outstanding initiatives of the current edition are:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1448\" data-end=\"2087\">\n<li data-start=\"1448\" data-end=\"1556\">\n<p data-start=\"1450\" data-end=\"1556\"><strong data-start=\"1450\" data-end=\"1495\">II Festival 'Seville, Land of Diversity'.<\/strong>held on 4 October in the Parque de los Perdigones.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1557\" data-end=\"1707\">\n<p data-start=\"1559\" data-end=\"1707\"><strong data-start=\"1559\" data-end=\"1595\">Passport to Interculturality'.<\/strong>an educational project aimed at raising awareness among kindergarten and primary schoolchildren of the values of coexistence.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1708\" data-end=\"1830\">\n<p data-start=\"1710\" data-end=\"1830\"><strong data-start=\"1710\" data-end=\"1763\">Introductory course to Spanish for immigrants<\/strong>developed together with the Don Bosco Foundation in the Pol\u00edgono Sur.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1831\" data-end=\"1958\">\n<p data-start=\"1833\" data-end=\"1958\"><strong data-start=\"1833\" data-end=\"1905\">Travelling programme 'Sounds of Seville: a journey through diversity'.<\/strong>with concerts in different neighbourhoods of the city.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1959\" data-end=\"2087\">\n<p data-start=\"1961\" data-end=\"2087\"><strong data-start=\"1961\" data-end=\"2015\">Intercultural Sports School La Macarena (EDIM)<\/strong>currently in preparation, aimed at young female players from the neighbourhood.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2089\" data-end=\"2307\">With the renewal of this agreement, the Fundaci\u00f3n Tres Culturas and the Seville City Council reaffirm their common commitment to a city that celebrates coexistence, inclusion and the richness of its cultural diversity.<\/p>\n<p
