The Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation, within the framework of its MENARA project (Observatory for Migration and the Promotion of Intercultural Dialogue), 75 percent co-financed with European Union ERDF funds, launched a comprehensive study last year on migratory flows between Andalusia and northern Morocco. The results of the first study were presented in Seville on 27 February and in Tangiers on 21 May this year.<\/p>\n
Once the second phase of the research, which focused on the identification and characterisation of the living habits of the immigrant population of Moroccan origin, has been completed, it is appropriate to present the most relevant conclusions obtained. This event may be attended by pro- and immigrant associations, organisations representing civil society, members of the academic community and, in general, anyone interested in the migratory phenomenon between Andalusia and Northern Morocco.<\/p>\n
This second study of the research, which has focused its analysis on the eight Andalusian provinces, is one of the first sociological analyses to address the impact of the economic crisis on the articulation of models of coexistence between diverse cultural societies.<\/p>\n
The presentation will take place on 25 September at the headquarters of the Tres Culturas Foundation, at 19:00, and will be given by the main researchers of the study. The main Andalusian pro- and immigrant associations, most of which are members of the Andalusian Forum for Migration, will also take part in the event, with the aim of disseminating the conclusions obtained and generating a constructive debate on the challenges posed by the construction of an intercultural society.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
