The director of the Three Cultures Foundation, Jos\u00e9 Manuel Cervera, inaugurated yesterday in the Portuguese town of Loul\u00e9 the III INTREPIDA Forum, with 60 businesswomen from the regions of Adaluc\u00eda, Algarve and Alentejo. In this meeting, which is taking place until today in the business incubator managed by REGIOTIC (official partner of the project), the participants can show their products and services, establishing contacts that favour the development of their businesses. In addition, this forum offers them the opportunity to learn about successful experiences, such as that of Colectivo 28, the first associative shop in Loul\u00e9, or to attend interesting training conferences on packaging, online sales and digital marketing.<\/p>\n
Jos\u00e9 Manuel Cervera insisted on the importance of this forum for two reasons, \"firstly, because Spain and Portugal have a lot to learn from each other, and specifically Andalusia, Algarve and Alentejo, have many areas in which to collaborate; secondly, because I am convinced that the strength of women in the world is the main agent of change in society\".<\/p>\n
For this reason, the director of Tres Culturas stressed the relevance of the INTREPIDA project to \"help dissolve the barriers that many women face in entrepreneurship through the creation of collaborative networks and knowledge of good practices, so that this contributes to the development of business and exchange between entrepreneurs\".<\/p>\n
Several Portuguese authorities also took part in this inaugural day, such as Maria Magdalena Feu, regional delegate in Algarve of the Institute for Employment and Vocational Training; Eduardo Serra Jorge, director of the Portuguese-Spanish Chamber of Commerce and honorary consul of Spain in Portugal; and Paulo Neves, director of REGIOTIC and honorary consul of the Czech Republic in Algarve.<\/p>\n
The INTREPIDA project (Internationalisation of Women Entrepreneurs from Spain and Portugal towards Insertion, Development and Partnerships), is an initiative framed in INTERREG Spain-Portugal (POCTEP 2014-2020) and financed with ERDF Funds of the European Union. Its objective is to boost the business competitiveness of SMEs managed by women in the cross-border territory of Andalusia, Algarve and Alentejo, promoting their internationalisation through new models of business development and cooperation.
