Dryers'."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Fundaci\u00f3n Tres Culturas is once again collaborating with ASECAN, an organisation that brings together the majority of Andalusian writers and film critics, to organise its February film season, coinciding with the celebration of Andalusia Day on February 28th.<\/p>\n<p>At the 36th edition of the Asecan Andalusian Film Awards, the traditional awards that annually recognise the work and works of Andalusian filmmakers were presented. From the Fundaci\u00f3n Tres Culturas we would like to show our support to Andalusian filmmaking by screening the films awarded in 2023 in the different categories of this event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, 20 February, 20.30 h.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Drying rooms.<\/strong> <\/em><strong>Roc\u00edo Mesa. Two parallel stories that take place between tobacco drying sheds during a summer tinged with magical realism.<\/p>\n<p>The feature film<em> Dryers<\/em>has been selected for some of the most prestigious screenwriting workshops such as Sundance Faliro House 2017 or Sources2 Norway 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We will have the actress Tamara Arias for the presentation of the film.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.es\/e\/entradas-copia-de-en-febrero-cine-andaluz-secaderos-825084629337?aff=oddtdtcreator\">Free admission with prior registration at THIS LINK.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>About its director, Roc\u00edo Mesa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Named by Variety as \"one of the 10 most promising women in the Spanish film industry\", Roc\u00edo Mesa practices experimental analogue cinema and her pieces, among which are\u00a0<strong><em>Tobacco barns light studies<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em>o\u00a0<strong><em>Vega<\/em><\/strong>have been selected for top-level exhibitions and festivals, such as the Festival des Cin\u00e9mas Diff\u00e9rents et Exp\u00e9rimentaux de Paris, C\u00e1mara L\u00facida, Festival de Cine Experimental de Bogot\u00e1 and L'Alternativa.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2015, Mesa has been the director of LA OLA - Independent Films from Spain, an organisation focused on promoting cutting-edge Spanish cinema in North America.
