Introduction to the opera 'La Bella Susona: the fruits of coexistence and love in times of war'."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The imminent premiere in mid-March in Seville of the opera <em>La Bella Susona <\/em>offers us the opportunity to hold a special session of our project C\u00e1tedra al-Andalus.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, on 6 March, in the Sal\u00f3n del Almirante of the Reales Alc\u00e1zares, we will organise a conference in which we will discuss the keys to understanding the opera <em>La Bella Susona<\/em>. The play is set in a context, that of the late 15th century, in which society was in the process of transformation, in the final years of an era of coexistence and just before the establishment of a new socio-economic order that was about to change everything.
