Screening of the short films selected in the competition for young Moroccan filmmakers."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the framework of the Flow Project, we will dedicate the morning of Tuesday 17 December to the screening of the three Moroccan short films selected by the AKIDA Festival in the <a href=\"https:\/\/tresculturas.org\/en\/actividad\/celebramos-el-dia-del-mediterraneo-desde-la-mirada-de-jovenes-cineastas-marroquies\/\">call for proposals launched by the Fundaci\u00f3n Tres Culturas last September<\/a>. An activity in collaboration with the City Council of Seville through the programme <em>Seville, Land of Diversity<\/em>and AKIDA Film Festival.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399;\">* This activity is particularly recommended for secondary school students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Following the call launched to select short films made by young people from Morocco, three proposals have been selected for screening at the Fundaci\u00f3n Tres Culturas. The short films to be presented have been created by <strong>Basma Rkioui<\/strong>, <strong>Achraf Barhoumi<\/strong> y <strong>Salma Belghiti <\/strong>and show us different ways of approaching reality through documentary and fiction.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Louka<\/strong><\/em>by Basma Rkioui.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Louka<\/em> is an intimate and poetic documentary that shows the emotion of its author on her return to the mountains of Morocco, sharing memories and personal experiences.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Basma Rkioui<\/strong> is a young Moroccan film director with a passion for the mountains, as she is a former Moroccan skiing champion. She chooses documentary film as a way of expressing her vision of things, while at the same time involving herself in the history of Moroccan cinema.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Paris Needed Texas<\/strong> <\/em>(<em>Paris needed Texas<\/em>), by Achraf Barhoumi.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Malak, a 15-year-old Moroccan girl, finds herself among a group of young actresses and has to perform a show with her father, but on the day of the performance something happens.<\/p>\n<p>Achraf Barhoumi is a young Moroccan film director. His work Paris Needed Texas was selected for the 23rd edition of the Tangier Film Festival.<em>. <\/em>He finds his inspiration in a style that is certainly vintage, in Hollywood classics, film noir and the creations of Wong Kar-wai. His films sometimes deal with the theme of the body in its different forms of expression through themes such as nostalgia and escape.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Darhome<\/strong><\/em>by Salma Belghiti.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Darhome tells the story of young Moroccans living in the most disadvantaged neighbourhoods of Tangier, facing social exclusion. During the short film, the young people talk about their own lives.<\/p>\n<p>The presentation will include the participation of the young <strong>Nick Kremm<\/strong>The co-founder and director of the Akida Film Festival, who will share with us the balance of the last festival (held in September in Seville) and talk about its inspiring story, which demonstrates the commitment of young people to carry out ambitious projects such as this one.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Akida Film Festival<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Two young friends with a passion for film make the project of creating an international short film festival a reality. Nick Kremm and Dimitris Pontikakis, only 16 years old, start the festival in 2022. After only two weeks after the launch, they had received more than 500 film submissions for selection to be screened.
