The author will be joined in conversation with the journalist and director of\u00a0<em>eldiario.es\/andalucia<\/em>\u00a0Lucrecia Hevia.<\/p>\n<p>Winner of the Goncourt Prize in its last edition, Leila Slimani draws on real events to invite reflection on women and their role in the family structure and in today's society, based on a horrifying crime.<\/p>\n<p>With this work, the author reveals herself not only as one of the great names in Franco-Moroccan literature of our time, but also in the whole of European literature today.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the author<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Leila Slimani<\/strong>\u00a0was born in Rabat in 1981 to a Moroccan father and a French-Algerian mother. After graduating from the French lyc\u00e9e in Rabat, he went to Paris to enrol at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques and then at the Ecole Sup\u00e9rieure de Commerce, where he specialised in the media. After several years as a journalist in\u00a0<em>L'Express<\/em>\u00a0y\u00a0<em>Jeune Afrique<\/em>decided to devote himself entirely to literature. With his first novel,\u00a0<em>Dans le jardin de l'ogre<\/em>\u00a0(2014), in which she tackled the subject of female sexual addiction, received unanimous critical acclaim.<\/p>\n<p>Free entry with
