Celebrating culture in Alexandria, the cultural capital of the Mediterranean<\/h3>\n

The Three Cultures Foundation takes its cultural action for the first time to the city of Alexandria in Egypt thanks to the call of the Anna Lindh Foundation. Mediterranean Capitals of Culture and Dialogue (MCCD) in Alexandria.<\/strong><\/em> Euro-Med to Med-Capital. Alexandria Edition.<\/p>\n

In cooperation with the Anna Lindh Foundation<\/strong> and the support of the Cervantes Institute<\/strong> in Alexandria, the Foundation proposes two enriching activities that bring together citizens of the Mediterranean area. On the one hand, a concert<\/strong> open to the public with a repertoire of Spanish lyric<\/strong> by the young Andalusian musicians: the soprano Aurora Gal\u00e1n and the pianist Jes\u00fas de Sancha. Together, they will perform pieces by Spanish composers such as Manuel de Falla, Andalusian poets such as Federico Garc\u00eda Lorca, and classics by Sebasti\u00e1n Iradier and Mar\u00eda Rodrigo, among others, highlighting the role of women in music.<\/p>\n

In the days following the concert, individualised sessions will be held as a masterclass in vocal technique<\/strong> aimed at a group of 8 young girls living in Alexandria with the intention of deepening the vocal study and musical preparation of young women.<\/p>\n

This activity is supported by European funding through the Anna Lindh Foundation together with other funds from the Three Cultures Foundation.<\/p>\n
