As part of the World Environment Day celebrations, the INTREPIDA project offers the opportunity to find out more about the project Biologist Maribel Adri\u00e1n<\/strong>, who together with her husband Pl\u00e1cido Clarita, founded thirty years ago Bird Valley<\/strong> in Puebla del R\u00edo, Seville.<\/p>\n

What was once an old gravel pit is now a birdwatching centre one of the most recognised and complete wetlands in Spain, declared a Concerted Nature Reserve<\/strong>. This small, restored wetland receives visitors from all corners of Europe. The Ca\u00f1ada de los P\u00e1jaros is also a centre for the study and veterinary recovery of all types of birds, some of which are critically endangered.<\/p>\n

This INTREPID tour offers a guided experience that will provide a better understanding of this project in a landmark natural space, Example of commitment to the environment<\/strong> and, especially, with the area's birdlife.<\/p>\n

The INTREPIDA pro project belongs to the Interreg Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) programme and receives European funding.<\/p>\n
