Screening of the documentary 'The keys to memory' and debate."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The September session of the Al-Andalus Chair will feature the screening of the documentary film\u00a0<em>The keys to memory<\/em>\u00a0and a subsequent debate with its director, Jes\u00fas Armesto.<\/p>\n<p>This film, which premiered at the last edition of the Seville European Film Festival SEFF2016, reflects on the value of memory and identity in a globalised society, while giving voice to the latest research that dismantles the classic and legendary conquest of Andalusia and the constitution of the History of Spain.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the author<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is the third documentary by the Andalusian filmmaker Jes\u00fas Armesto (\u00c9cija, 1978). Trained at the Barcelona Film School and a regular resident of the Catalan capital, Armesto's film career began in 2006 with photography and audiovisual production and direction. He is a founding member of the production company Almutafilm and teaches various workshops and seminars on film and contemporary culture. He has exhibited his work through different pedagogical presentations at the universities of Seville and Granada and in forums such as 'Alianza de Civilizaciones Alianza por la Paz'.<\/p>\n<p>He is currently working on the post-production of a new documentary filmed in the refugee camp in Calais, entitled\u00a0<em>The Burghers of Calais, the last frontier<\/em>.
