Artistic exchanges between al-Andalus and Castile in the 14th century."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 14th century has often been perceived as a century of economic, political and artistic crisis. However, it was a time of great cultural effervescence in which Castilian court architecture developed its own path through its close contact with al-Andalus. The exchanges of artists and forms across the border, in a round trip, tell us of a cultural formation that did not necessarily perceive the Andalusian as foreign and that was capable of incorporating very diverse references in its own architecture.<\/p>\n<p>Elena Paulino is a Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral researcher in the Department of History of Art at the UNED.
