Islamophobia and anti-Semitism in 21st century Europe."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>80 years after the <em>Kristallnacht<\/em> -a turning point in the nature of the harassment of the Jewish community- we see the rise of political options that, while not directly inherited from those that promoted such acts and led Europe to disaster, do share ideology, prejudices and methods.<\/p>\n<p>Fascism is once again infiltrating the system through its cracks: economic crisis, <em>Brexit<\/em>migration crisis. The upsurge in anti-Semitism - feared after the 2015 attacks in Paris - is diminishing but still present, and Islamophobia is taking hold, with direct attacks and through 'cyberhate'.<\/p>\n<p>On this 80th anniversary the old enemy of human rights returns and finds new avenues of expression and action, as well as new victims.
