The Fundaci\u00f3n Tres Culturas, in collaboration with the publishing house Cabaret Voltaire, is organising this conversation with a living memory of international Tangiers, the Moroccan writer and painter of Rifian origin Mohamed Mrabet. Coinciding with the publication of Lemon<\/em>The author will talk with Farid Othman-Bentria Ramos, intercultural coordinator and writer, about his second novel, hitherto unpublished in Spanish (and like his twelve other works, a collaboration between Mrabet and the American Paul Bowles).<\/p>\n

Self-taught and illiterate, Mrabet frequented Tangiers with writers such as William Burroughs, Truman Capote, Tennessee Williams and Allen Ginsberg. The city had become a magnet for intellectuals and artists, including those of the Beat Generation. But it was the Bowles couple who established a fruitful relationship with him through the oral accounts that Mrabet dictated to Paul.<\/p>\n

Activity included in the celebration of the tenth anniversary of Tres con libros and in the month of Morocco.<\/p>\n
