{"id":66444,"date":"2020-02-17T14:53:59","date_gmt":"2020-02-17T12:53:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tresculturas.org\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=66444"},"modified":"2020-02-17T14:53:59","modified_gmt":"2020-02-17T12:53:59","slug":"debates-en-torno-al-mediterraneo-sesion-sobre-medioambiente","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/tresculturas.org\/en\/actividad\/debates-en-torno-al-mediterraneo-sesion-sobre-medioambiente\/","title":{"rendered":"Debates around the Mediterranean: online session on sustainable development, water, environment and energies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In 1995, the Barcelona Euro-Mediterranean Foreign Affairs Conference launched an ambitious programme of cooperation between the countries of the European Union and those on the southern and eastern shores of the Mediterranean, in order to create an area of stability and peace, shared progress and dialogue between peoples and cultures.<\/p>\n<p>25 years after that initiative, we at Tres Culturas want to evaluate the issue to assess where more persevering action is required and where good progress is being made and examples of good practice can be drawn from.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the debate at five round tables on issues affecting migration, women's empowerment, the labour market and youth, education and research, and sustainable development, the aim is to contribute to making the Mediterranean an area of stability, progress and fruitful dialogue.<\/p>\n<p>This activity, subsidised by the Spanish Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, forms part of the various activities it carries out for the study, analysis and implementation of Spanish foreign policy priorities.<\/p>\n<p>The fifth and last round table of the series, 'Debates around the Mediterranean: session on sustainable development, water, environment and energies' will be held telematically and will feature Isidro Gonz\u00e1lez, Deputy Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean in charge of Water, Environment and Blue Economy, who will talk with Francisco Jos\u00e9 Guti\u00e9rrez Rodr\u00edguez, from the General Secretariat for the Environment, Water and Climate Change of the Andalusian Regional Government.<\/p>\n<p>In order to participate in it, it is necessary to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/register.gotowebinar.com\/register\/8808830171381794574\">register through this link<\/a>.<\/strong> Once registered, you will receive instructions on how to join the virtual session.
