{"id":69566,"date":"2020-06-17T00:10:56","date_gmt":"2020-06-16T22:10:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tresculturas.org\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=69566"},"modified":"2020-06-17T00:10:56","modified_gmt":"2020-06-16T22:10:56","slug":"dos-del-sur-juan-luis-pineda-y-lucia-socam-ponen-musica-a-la-poesia-de-ayer-hoy-y-siempre","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/tresculturas.org\/en\/actividad\/dos-del-sur-juan-luis-pineda-y-lucia-socam-ponen-musica-a-la-poesia-de-ayer-hoy-y-siempre\/","title":{"rendered":"Dos del Sur: Luc\u00eda S\u00f3cam and Juan Luis Pineda put music to the poetry of yesterday, today and always."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the framework of the programme <em>Back to Tres Culturas<\/em>\u00a0the Foundation will hold at its headquarters, the <strong>Thursday 25 June at 21.00 h.<\/strong>the activity <em>Two from the South<\/em>a tribute to great poets of all times with the participation of the Andalusian singer-songwriters Juan Luis Pineda and Luc\u00eda S\u00f3cam.<\/p>\n<p>The poet Fernando Villal\u00f3n said that the world is divided into two parts: Seville and Cadiz. And from both extremes come two musicians who, despite their youth, already have a proven track record and are considered masters in a demanding discipline: setting yesterday's and today's poetry to music.<\/p>\n<p>From the Sevillian town of Guillena, Luc\u00eda S\u00f3cam is a paradigm of an artist committed to the times in which she lives, to equality and social justice. She has put her voice at the service of the verses of contemporary classics such as Rafael Alberti and Blas de Otero, and of more recent ones such as the Cuban V\u00edctor Casaus and the Algeciras-born Juan Jos\u00e9 T\u00e9llez.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, Juan Luis Pineda is a long-distance runner in song, who after dedicating his first album, <em>Cricket Pot,<\/em> a colourful group of poets (from Carlos Edmundo Ory to Mercedes Escolano or Luis Garc\u00eda Montero, and from Josefa Parra to Jos\u00e9 P\u00e9rez Olivares) is giving shape to a new show dedicated to Antonio Machado, Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez and Federico Garc\u00eda Lorca, entitled <em>Miguel, Don Antonio, Federico. Suite for three poets.<\/em>\u00a0On this occasion he will be accompanied by the Ceuta-born guitarist Daniel Cort\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Both will toast in <em>Two from the South<\/em>\u00a0a tribute to the great authors of all times, both those who have gone down in history and those who sing from today and for today. They will also touch on aspects that concern us today, such as freedoms, the dignity of women, the defence of the most disadvantaged and the union of peoples from all over the world in universal values. And all of this, of course, with the stamp of the south, which has been a place of coexistence and culture since ancient times.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tresculturas.org\/f3c\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Bio-Dos-del-Sur.pdf\">More information on the singer-songwriters can be found here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT INFORMATION:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>They will be available on the above link from Friday 19 June until Thursday 25 June at 11.00 am.<\/p>\n<p>For this event, chair tickets will be available to users with a maximum of two users per application.<br \/>\nTo facilitate access to the activities, the holder of the reservation for more than one person must be accompanied by the other companions of the same family unit included in the application.
