Screening of &#039;NO, un cuento flamenco&#039;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 16th of November marks the tenth anniversary of the nomination of flamenco as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by Unesco. For this reason, the Fundaci\u00f3n Tres Culturas has programmed a mini-cycle of films (from the 16th to the 21st of November) with three very current films with the aim of highlighting flamenco and the whole cast of artists who express themselves through song, dance and musical instruments.<\/p>\n<p>We will start the cycle with the film <em>No, a Flemish tale<\/em>by Jos\u00e9 Luis Tirado, which talks about human values, reality and everyday art. We will continue with <em>La Chana<\/em>by Lucija Stojevic, a documentary awarded at several festivals that talks about a great artist, Antonia Santiago Amador, the lights and shadows of a life dedicated to creation. Finally, the film <em>Singing is prohibited,<\/em> by directors F\u00e9lix V\u00e1zquez and Paco Ortiz, another recent documentary in which the Sevillian cantaora Esperanza Fern\u00e1ndez, one of the main voices of today's flamenco, will guide us through the flamenco pe\u00f1as of Andalusia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Programming<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, 16 November 2020. Spain, 2016, 75 minutes.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Synopsis<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NO is a dancer who works in a flamenco tablao in the Triana Market in Seville. Surviving in these times is a great effort for her, even for artists, and even more so as a woman. She feels alone in the face of a reality that overwhelms her.
