The aim of this event is to give value to the important musical legacy that the coexistence of different cultures of the Mediterranean represents for our community. And more specifically, the relevance of the Sephardic and Andalusian heritage in Andalusian culture.

In this sense, this initiative is linked to the Festival de las Andalucías Atlánticas, which has been held every year in the Moroccan city of Essaouira, with strong support from the Junta de Andalucía (through the Fundación Tres Culturas) for almost two decades. Now, the Festival Tres Culturas goes a step further by bringing together three important exponents of Sephardic, Andalusian and Flamenco music on the same stage, albeit on different days.

Thursday the 24th is the turn of Kandoussi Magnet. Originally from Tetuán (Morocco), at the age of 10 she began her studies in singing and Arabic lute at the Higher Conservatory of Music in Tetuán and at the age of 15 she took courses in performance techniques with great teachers such as Amin el Akrami and Hicham Zoubairi. In late 2003, she came to Spain to complete her university studies and develop other musical styles by merging them with traditional Arabic music, especially Andalusian music, making possible the dialogue between music belonging to the area of medieval Al-Andalus.

He has collaborated as a soloist with groups such as Artefactum, Caravasar, Irving Ensemble, the Orchestra of the Conservatory of Tetuán in Morocco, Al Maqam and recently with Capella de Ministrers, in the ‘The Silk Road’ project. He is also a member of groups such as Al Andaluz Project, Aquitania, Acdeniz, Estampie, Ensemble Walladah, Iman Kandoussi&Samsaoui, Mawwal and Zejel, with whom he has toured programs around the music of the three cultures at the most important festivals in Europe.

TICKET SALE* for the concert at THIS LINK.

Single entry price: 8 €

*10% of the tickets will be reserved for sale at the box office on the day of the concert.
