L'objectif de cette initiative est de faire conna\u00eetre et de d\u00e9fendre la contribution de ces personnalit\u00e9s \u00e0 l'histoire et \u00e0 la culture de l'Espagne et du reste de l'Europe et de la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, ainsi que leur contribution au patrimoine intellectuel, culturel et scientifique de l'humanit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 cette occasion, la conf\u00e9rence, intitul\u00e9e <strong>Le sage Hasday Ibn Shaprut et sa relation paradigmatique avec les musulmans, les chr\u00e9tiens et les juifs\".<\/strong>sera consacr\u00e9e \u00e0 Hasday Ibn Shaprut (Ja\u00e9n, vers 915-970 ou 975), la premi\u00e8re personnalit\u00e9 juive d'importance majeure dans l'histoire d'Al-Andalus.<\/p>\n<p>Hasday Ibn Shaprut, originaire de Ja\u00e9n et \u00e9tabli \u00e0 Cordoue, \u00e9tait m\u00e9decin, linguiste et diplomate au service du califat omeyyade. Il fut ambassadeur d'Abd al-Rahman III, m\u00e9decin d'al-Hakam II et traducteur d'ouvrages scientifiques tels que <em data-start=\"236\" data-end=\"255\">M\u00e9dical<\/em>. Il a \u00e9galement promu la jurisprudence et l'histoire juives dans sa communaut\u00e9.
