Apr\u00e8s sa premi\u00e8re pr\u00e9sentation en Espagne en juin 2019 \u00e0 la Casa \u00c1rabe de Madrid et dans le cadre de la conf\u00e9rence 22nd<\/sup> du Festival PhotoEspa\u00f1a, cette exposition est d\u00e9sormais pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e \u00e0 la Fundaci\u00f3n Tres Culturas (Fondation Trois Cultures), qui rend elle-m\u00eame hommage \u00e0 la trajectoire et \u00e0 l'engagement de la photographe et vid\u00e9aste Leila Alaoui.<\/p>\n

Le Les Marocains <\/em>r\u00e9v\u00e8le le parcours tr\u00e8s personnel de la jeune artiste Leila Alaoui (1982-2016), d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9e tragiquement des suites des blessures qu'elle a subies lors de l'attentat de Ouagadougou, au Burkina Faso, le 15 octobre dernier.th<\/sup> de janvier 2016, alors qu'elle travaillait sur un rapport sur la situation des femmes pour Amnesty International.<\/p>\n

Cette exposition souhaite honorer sa trajectoire en tant qu'artiste, mais aussi en tant que personne engag\u00e9e. Les trente portraits qui composent cette exposition proviennent de zones rurales \u00e0 travers le Maroc et, selon les propres termes de Leila, sont n\u00e9s du \"filtre de sa position intime en tant que Marocaine dans le but de r\u00e9v\u00e9ler la subjectivit\u00e9 des personnes repr\u00e9sent\u00e9es\".<\/p>\n

Leila Alaoui a cr\u00e9\u00e9 le La s\u00e9rie des Marocains <\/em>entre 2010 et 2014. Plut\u00f4t que de r\u00e9v\u00e9ler les sc\u00e8nes typiques de la vie marocaine, elle a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 des portraits au sens le plus strict et le plus classique du terme. Le travail de Leila porte l'id\u00e9e sous-jacente de Richard Avedon, l'un des plus grands portraitistes des ann\u00e9es 1920.th<\/sup> Le portrait est l'image de quelqu'un qui sait qu'il est photographi\u00e9. Rien dans les images de Leila Alaoui ne semble avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 vol\u00e9. Impossible de rester impassible face \u00e0 la forte dimension picturale de son travail.<\/p>\n
