The Fundaci\u00f3n Tres Culturas (Three Cultures Foundation), with the collaboration of Cabaret Voltaire publishing house, organises this conversation with a living memory of international Tangiers, the Moroccan writer and painter of Rifain origins Mohamed Mrabet. Coinciding with the publication of The lemon,<\/em> his second novel, which had not been printed in Spanish until now (and which like his other twelve works arises from a collaboration between Mrabet and the American Paul Bowles), the author will speak to intercultural coordinator and writer Farid Othman-Bentria Ramos.<\/p>\n

Self-educated and illiterate Mrabet coincided in Tangiers with writers such as William Burroughs, Truman Capote, Tennessee Williams and Allen Ginsberg. The city was a magnet for intellectuals and artists, including those of the Beat Generation. Yet it was the Bowles\u2019 who established a fruitful relationship through the stories that Mrabet dictated to Paul.<\/p>\n
