Consolidating an activity that combines our regular commitment to Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cinema with summer’s traditional outdoor screenings, the Three Cultures Foundation organizes the third edition of its Summer Cinema, an event that also responds to the wide demand of a public that has welcomed this proposal enthusiastically from the beginning.
This cycle, which during July replaces the weekly schedule of ‘Cinema on Tuesdays’, gives us the opportunity to get acquainted with the regions’ contemporary cinematography in four sessions where humor is the keynote. From the relations between Israelis and Palestinians viewed from the perspective of a battle against a phone company in A man without a cell phone, to the efforts of a group of musicians determined to perform with a woman in a country where women are not allowed to sing in Half Moon, through issues such as aging, euthanasia and friendship in The farewell party and understanding between people with religious and cultural differences in The Rabbi’s Cat.
The Andalusian Gardens of the Foundation are once again the ideal place for our summer cinema, and are ready to accommodate the needs of the public (including a snack bar). As in previous years, the films will start from 22h00, after the sunset.
