Within the framework of the Fundación Tres Culturas’ (Three Cultures Foundation’s) CARPET project, Sevillian artist Marta de Pablos, who specialises in ceramics, is working in the Moroccan locality of Assilah for a month.
Marta works in an experimental way, resorting to diverse means of expression such as installations, sound, urban works and recycled art, employing different materials and techniques in her work to reach the most conceptual aspects of artistic ceramics.
During her experience in Morocco, Marta de Pablos is carrying out a project to develop a women’s ceramic creation workshop to prepare a joint creation with an end-goal of boosting their employability through elaboration of their own ceramic products and use of recycled materials as the base of a sustainable, fair-trade economy.
The CARPET Project is coordinated by the Fundación Tres Culturas (Three Cultures Foundation) along with partners Creative Kernow in the UK, CEARTE in Portugal and APDN in Morocco. This project has financial support from the European Europa Creativa programme.
