The Fundación Tres Culturas del Mediterráneo is organising, in collaboration with the publishing house Acantilado, a conversation with the Hellenist, professor, translator, photographer and filmmaker Pedro Olalla, on 18 October at 19:00. This event, in which the author will be accompanied by the journalist specialising in Culture Manuel Pedraz, will review his entire literary career with special attention to his latest work, Words from the Aegean (Cliff).
In this work, the author once again displays his great knowledge of the classical world in general and Greek civilisation in particular, as an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the man who has been appointed Ambassador of Hellenism by the Greek state. We carry within us the imprint of the Aegean and the Mediterranean, because those who set our profound civilisation in motion did so on the shores of the Aegean and the Mediterranean," he says. pondlike Socrates' humble frogs," explains the writer.
With this as a starting point, Pedro Olalla will talk about his prolific oeuvre, consisting of more than 30 original works published in different languages, to which we can add a large number of journalistic articles and more than a hundred translations of Greek and Spanish authors, specialising in literature, archaeology, history and the humanities.
Free admission until full capacity is reached, prior registration at THIS LINK.
