For the migrant population, one way of integrating into the host society is to learn its language. And, on many occasions, this new learning involves leaving aside the practice of their mother tongue, with no possibility of it being transmitted from parents to children, at least in its written version.

To prevent this, the Fundación Tres Culturas is carrying out the project Learning as a familyThis is a training programme, already consolidated and totally free of charge, which promotes the learning of Spanish among Moroccans living in the provinces of Seville and Huelva and, at the same time, the learning of classical Arabic among their children so that they do not lose the link with their country of origin.

This is a joint methodological approach in a multicultural context where the groups of parents and children share, as far as possible, timetables and spaces close to each other, thus enabling family reconciliation and family attendance at classes.

In this way, the children learn the language in a global way, taking into account the skills of oral and written expression, listening, reading and audiovisual comprehension and oral and written interaction. With this, they acquire some basic linguistic aspects such as learning the graphic system of standard Arabic writing - letters, words and phrases - to then progressively learn vocabulary and some basic grammatical structures necessary to communicate in the Arabic language.

On the other hand, the Spanish course aimed at parents is designed to cover the language needs they face in everyday situations and to achieve correct and fluent communication in Spanish.

In this new edition 2025, we continue the programme both in Huelva, in the towns of Lepe and Cartaya and in Seville capital.

The courses will be held in collaboration with the Moroccan Association for the Integration of Immigrants in Seville and with the Association for the Support of Disadvantaged Groups (ACODES) in Huelva.
