The Tres Culturas Foundation, in collaboration with the Andalusian Studies Centre, is organising three concerts in which the musical collection of the slate discs of the Blas Infante library will be recovered.

The Casa de la Alegría, Blas Infante's family home in Coria del Río, houses 46 slate records. Its bibliographic and musical collections related to flamenco, the range of music from North Africa, some songs from Hispanic folklore, Latin American music, classical music and what is considered "exotic music", allow us to approach and delve deeper into the memory of the Father of the Andalusian Homeland.

The aim of this series of concerts is to recover the music from Blas Infante's record collection, kept in his personal library, by making a selection of works that allow us to get to know his varied musical tastes and enjoy pieces of different styles and periods.

The first concert will take place on Monday, 26 June, and will be dedicated to flamenco. The cantaor Jeromo Segura and the guitarist Álvaro Mora will perform various selected pieces -peteneras, fandangos, bulerías, malagueñas- from the 19th and 20th century records acquired by Blas Infante.

The following day, Tuesday 27 June, the Al Angham Group will give a concert of Andalusian music. Fathi Ben Yakoub (violin), Youssef Mezgueldi (kanun), Mouhssine Koraichi (lute), Khalid Ahaboune Khali (percussion), Habiba Chaouf (voice) and Pilar Alonso (guitar) will perform several musical pieces of this genre from Infante's slate albums.

Finally, on Wednesday 28 June, the concert dedicated to classical music will be given by the Barenboim-Said Foundation's string quartet and piano. The group is made up of María del Mar Jurado (violin), Matilde Bueno (violin), Darío Francesc García (viola), Álvaro Lozano (cello) and Guillermo Ramírez (piano). Pieces by composers such as R. Strauss, M. Glinka or J. Brahms will form part of this repertoire specially prepared for this cycle.

All concerts will take place at 21:00 h. Doors open at 20:30 h.

Admission is free with limited capacity, so prior registration is essential.
