The Three Cultures Foundation is hosting the project's closing event at its headquarters. Making a difference: towards a positive view of migration in Andalusia, developed by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in Spain in collaboration with the Andalusian Agency for Development Cooperation.
From a set of training and awareness-raising actions, which were primarily carried out in educational settings, the general objective of the project has been to contribute to the articulation of a more positive discourse about migrant youth in Andalusia and to foster their inclusion in Andalusian society. To achieve this, the activities planned in this project have been aimed at: teachers, pupils, migrant youth, and Andalusian society in general, and have been carried out in educational centres, libraries, museums, exhibition centres, and cultural spaces.
At this event, which will take place on Thursday 15th June at 10:00 AM, the results achieved within the different activities carried out will be presented, in addition to discussing the university perspective, with the participation of representatives from Andalusian universities, and hearing, from the protagonists of the ‘Soy Migrante’ campaign, about their experiences both in the campaign and of their lives in Andalusia. In this way, we continue with the aim of bringing the existing perception closer to the migratory reality of the migrant people who have made Andalusia their home.
