Details

  • Date: 30 October 2024
  • Time:
    09:30 - 14:30

The Three Cultures Foundation and the Andalusian Institute of Historical Heritage are organising the 2nd Technical Conference of the Cartuja Campus Libraries on the morning of 30 October, which will bring together, for the second year, the professionals who make up the network of libraries located in Cartuja.

Following the success of the first edition, organised and promoted by the Library of the Andalusian Historical Heritage Institute (IAPH), this new conference will seek to reinforce the commitment and importance of networking and training for library staff to face the challenges of the 21st century.

The main line of discussion at this meeting will be how to adopt a proactive attitude to attract and retain users as well as to generate community around libraries. Strategies will be worked on to increase the visibility and attractiveness of their services, in line with the demands of a digital society in constant evolution, and in this way, to be able to respond to the growing demands of users.

The conference will feature presentations by Florencia Corrionero, technician of the Nubeteca de Innovación Lectora Project at the Badajoz Provincial Council; Juan Antonio Barrera, head of user services at the University of Seville Library; and Gregorio García, coordinator of the University Libraries of Málaga.

Free admission until full capacity is reached. To attend the conference you must register in advance via THIS LINK.
