The Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation collaborates with ARTSevilla and held at its headquarters during the days 27 and 28 October 2016 Medialab. It is a space dedicated to the encounter between artists and professionals working in art-related environments, with the aim of reinforcing synergies and favouring the development and promotion of the mentoring in art.
A committee appointed by the organisers of ARTSevilla selected various projects from the proposals presented in an open call. Artists of all nationalities and disciplines were invited: painting, sculpture, digital art, video art, performance, illustration, comics, installation, design, engraving, restoration, etc.
The initiative is an opportunity to compare opinions, reinforce and channel proposals and make contact with specialists and professionals from the field of art galleries, established artists, designers and illustrators, among others. This contact in turn favours teamwork, while enabling co-production and the relationship between artists, professionals and cultural entrepreneurs.
On the occasion of this collaboration, the Fundación Tres Culturas del Mediterráneo has invited the Moroccan artist Redwane Jabal (Essaouira, 1989) to show his artistic project and share his experience as an artist who works and resides regularly in Morocco. This artist was selected within the framework of the European CREAMOS project managed by the Fundación Tres Culturas, while he was studying art at the Fine Arts Institute of Tetouan. This allowed him to take up residence in Seville, coming into contact with the Faculty of Fine Arts in that city. After completing her training in Tetouan, she has participated in the Marrakech Biennial of Contemporary Art and has taken part in various artist residencies in Morocco and abroad.
The activity will take place at the headquarters of the Fundación Tres Culturas del Mediterráneo on 27 and 28 October 2016 from 9 am to 1 pm.
