The Fundación Tres Culturas pays tribute to one of the most outstanding Andalusian academic personalities and one of the most influential contemporary Arabists, Professor Emeritus, former Rector of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and Medal of Andalusia 2010, Pedro Martínez Montávez.
This Foundation recognises his extraordinary work in the field of Arab studies, his contribution to fostering and promoting intercultural dialogue and building bridges between Spain and the Arab world, as well as his ongoing search for spaces of dialogue, understanding and freedom.
The tribute ceremony is scheduled for 10 March at 6 p.m. and will be closed with a flamenco concert by the artist José Menese, one of the essential figures on the national flamenco scene and a true purist of flamenco singing.
