Coinciding with the month of Ramadan, which this year runs from 27 May to 25 June, the Fundación Tres Culturas continues with the activities in the cycle Ramadan between Cultures.
Thus, on 22 June we will once again offer the opportunity to break the fast (Iftar) with a tasting of the traditional Moroccan food prepared for the occasion.
Beforehand, we will offer a lecture by Anas Bentaouet, secretary of the Azarquiel Association. of Moroccan university students based in Seville, who will speak on Meaning and symbol of Ramadan.
At sunset, it will be time for conviviality, meeting and dialogue with the public, who will be able to enjoy traditional dishes and sweets.
To end the day's programme, the musician Youssef el Houssaini will give a concert inspired by ancient melodies from the traditions of Muslim Al-Andalus, Christian Iberia and Jewish Sepharad, with the Arabic oud and percussion as the main protagonists.
As it did last year, the Foundation wants to involve other cultures in this tradition of fasting in order to share and create links with other groups. In this sense, the activities are open to the public and representatives of the different religious denominations will be invited.
