From 8 to 10 March, the Fundación Tres Culturas will host the VIII Pasarela New Models, which will bring together more than 30 designers and firms with national and international projection from Spain, Morocco and Senegal. The event, organised by the MMExpression Agency and Modelling School, Acemmfa (Association of Traders, Fashion and Flamenco Fashion Entrepreneurs) and Efímera, has the special collaboration of Tres Culturas, Reino de Marruecos, Estudio Pablo Aristoy and Fundación Sandra Ibarra, as well as a long list of sponsors and other collaborations.
Tres Culturas, as part of the activities aimed at raising awareness as part of the programme it is developing in conjunction with the Ministry in charge of Moroccan Communities Residing Abroad, is once again supporting the work of young Moroccan designers through the presence of two promising young Moroccan fashion designers, Nadia Zein and Gigiss.
Nadia Zein is a young and prestigious designer of Moroccan origin. Based in Valencia, where she studied design, she launched her first collection in 2009, a mix of textures and colours with striking turbans and headdresses in common. The secret of her success is based on the fusion of modern European fashion with respect for Muslim tradition, making her designs suitable for any woman who likes exotic proposals.
The day of Wednesday 8th March will be dedicated to the fashion shows of Nadia Zein, Oh! Carola, Gigiss and Susana Yenes, with a performance by the renowned pianist Arturo Pareja Obregón. The following day, a Master Class on Skin and Hair Care will be organised during the morning, while the afternoon will focus on the proposals of Unik, Nusa, MB2, Tengo una boda & Mi toque and Creasur.
On 10 March, at 11.30 a.m., professionals from Imago Center will lead a workshop on fashion photography. In the afternoon, students from Centro Imagen Moda will present four collections in the new Espacio #Forma. One hour later, Urbenclothes, Brava and Johnny Dee will be in Espacio #Emergente. The Baby Beauty and Hair Style Awards will be followed by the fashion shows of Lago Rosa, MMartinyca (with the collaboration of Sevillian Ángeles Verano), Lebasi and Isabel Campos.
Presentation of the magazine Flamenca.moda
In addition, the last day of this event will coincide with the presentation of the second issue of the magazine Flamenca.moda starting at 21.00. The magazine, which in this edition features the designer Juana Martín, will present all the flamenco fashion trends seen on the main catwalks (We Love Flamenco (y Viva by We Love), International Flamenco Fashion Show (SIMOF) or the Pasarela Flamenca de Jerez. As a novelty in this issue, the magazine will have both English and Japanese versions for easy downloading. on line, through the platform Issuu.
The presentation ceremony will be led by the magazine's editor, Antonio Ruiz, as a preamble to the flamenco catwalk with the participation of Carmen LaTorre, Manuela Macías, Atelier Rima, Creaciones Maricruz, Pepa Romero, Agus Dorado, Doble E, Tomar Artesanía, Artepeinas, Florsali, Fajardo & Plaza and Flecos.
