On the occasion of International Human Rights Day, the Fundación Tres Culturas, in collaboration with the Platform for the Truth Commission, the programme 'La Memoria' on Canal Sur Radio and the Seville Press Association, has organised an event to pay tribute to the victims of Francoism with the screening of the documentary film Let me cry! The forgotten genocideby director Jordi Gordon.
In the words of the filmmaker himself, "during the forty years of Franco's regime, these families were always marked and now, another forty years of democracy later, they have still not been recognised as victims of the most horrible atrocities". For this reason, this documentary is presented as a denunciation of this "silenced reality", rescuing testimonies of reprisals and relatives of victims of Franco's regime so that they can "mourn" their grief.
The screening will be followed by a colloquium with the participation of the journalist Rafael Guerrero, director of the programme 'La Memoria' on Canal Sur Radio; Jordi Gordon, director of the documentary; and Antonio Deza, a victim who participated in the documentary and spokesperson for the Platform for the Truth Commission.
