Among the different activities programmed by the Foundation within the cycle 'Iran in Three Cultures', which include a film exhibition, a round table and a concert, is the International Conference 'The Legacy of Al Andalus, Persia-Iberia', which is being held with the Allameh Tabatabaí University in Tehran, and whose technical secretariat has been provided by the scientific director of the Al Andalus Chair of the Three Cultures Foundation, Dr. Emilio González Ferrín.
This meeting aims to explore intercultural and interdisciplinary research approaches aimed at investigating how, when and where the encounter between Iberian and Iranian culture took place, and the mutual influence that these two cultures have had on each other over the centuries, as both cultures are heirs to some of the oldest legacies of humanity.
At the beginning of the meeting, a greeting from the president of the Junta de Andalucía will be read out, and the director of the Foundation and the president of the Allameh Tabatabaí University will sign a collaboration agreement to develop joint activities in the future.
