The Fundación Tres Culturas and the Consulate General of France in Seville-French Institute present the autobiographical novel 'As We Exist' by the French writer and sociologist Kaoutar Harchi.
The author will talk with the writer and journalist Eva Díaz Pérez about this work, described by French critics as a deeply moving story, in which she recounts her childhood and adolescence as a woman of immigrant and working-class origin and delves into the awakening of her political conscience, as well as the complexity of paternal-filial relationships.
As We Exist' is also the reading of the month for our face-to-face reading club Three with books. The library has a batch of 30 copies available to organise a reading club around this novel.
Translation from French into Spanish will be provided.
