The Fundación Tres Culturas will screen the winners of the 14th edition of the International Festival of Cinema and Common Memory (FICMEC) held in Nador from 15 to 20 November 2025
One of the objectives of this Film Festival is to pay homage to relevant figures of the Seventh Art who have contributed to the values of the creativitythe humanism and the peace Saïd Taghmaoui, a French-American actor and screenwriter committed to humanitarian causes of Berber descent, with parents originally from Essaouira (Morocco).
The festival proposes a space for collective reflection which links the seventh art, the culture of human rights and peace, in a creative fusion of image, memory and responsibility.

🎬 THE UNDERDOGS
Olivier Panier, Belgium, 2023, 21 min.
Synopsis: Karim, a homeless boy, must find his father in order to finally move into social housing. He finds him in a squat, sacrificing his dignity for drugs. Karim must make difficult decisions to change the situation.
🎬 MILK BROTHERS
Kenza Tazi, Morocco, France, 2024, 19 min.
Synopsis: In Fez, the breastfeeding Foundouk symbolises female solidarity. Women help new mothers by breastfeeding their abandoned children. Meriem, a young single mother, develops a deep bond with Karam, an orphan abandoned in the Foundouk. Although her request to raise Karam with her son was denied due to social stigma, Meriem remains determined to preserve their unique connection.
🎬 JIMMY
Aïcha Camara, Spain, 2024, 19 min.
Synopsis: On the night of 20 July 2002, "JIMMY", a 15-year-old teenager of Angolan origin named Ndombele Augusto Domingos, was murdered by a 24-year-old Spanish man who worked as a bouncer at a discotheque in the Costa Polvoranca industrial estate in Alcorcón (Madrid). With this short film, the family demands justice to honour the memory of their son.
