Second edition of COMICMED

The Three Cultures Foundation of the Mediterranean, in collaboration with the National Digital Content Pole and the Malaga City Council, presents the second edition of COMICMED, which returns following the success of its first edition as an international festival dedicated to comic books and graphic novels linked to the Mediterranean.

The meeting, which will be held from 19 to 21 March 2026 located in the Tabacalera facilities, it constitutes a unique space for dialogue for creators, readers, researchers and all comic book enthusiasts, with a particular emphasis on those that reflect the cultural diversity of the Mediterranean and become a tool for telling its stories, building bridges and promoting values of coexistence and peace.

The festival brings together female and male authors from both shores, which show the power of graphic novel as a language of social transformation and as a privileged way to bring reading to young people and new audiences, arousing curiosity, creativity and critical thinking.

Programming combines Conversations, workshops and proposals connecting comic books with digital creation, animation, video games and other contemporary visual arts. In this way, the bond between the Three Cultures Foundation, Málaga and the National Centre for Digital Content is consolidated as a benchmark for cultural innovation and experimentation around comic books and the graphic novel.
