The Three Cultures Foundation presents the concert by Barcino Quartet, a young and creative jazz quartet that represents a new generation of musicians committed to the evolution of the genre.
Formed by Pau Reig Llunell (double bass), Manel Puig Martínez (guitar), Tomás Radicella (piano) y Silvano Olalla (drums), the group stems from the artistic collaboration of four performers who share the same way of understanding jazz, deeply rooted in tradition yet open to exploration.
Their proposal focuses on the interpretation and arrangement of jazz standards, which they revisit with respect and creativity, incorporating contemporary nuances and a special focus on the dialogue between the instruments. The result is a sound rich in nuance, where different musical sensibilities converge.
Despite its short history, the Barcino Quartet has performed in iconic venues and been selected to take part in international festivals, establishing itself as one of the most interesting emerging acts on the current scene.
With this concert, the Foundation reinforces its commitment to young talent and to those musical proposals which, drawing from jazz, continue to weave connections between tradition and innovation.
